I joined Harriet's class about three years ago as a total beginner. I've never had an art lesson before but always wanted to "have a go". I have learned a lot even if I cant always put it down on paper but I love using pastels because they are instant, no waiting for them to dry, mistakes can be erased immediately (most of the time) and the colours are brilliant.

I never thought I would be able to have such fun with pastels as I have in the last 5 years. Even colouring people and animals, trees and flowers are possible now, thanks to Harriet's continual encouragement.
