I first learned to
paint about 10 years ago at the East Grinstead Adult Education
Centre when my family flew the nest. My husbands job took us abroad for about 7
years and it was my saving grace. Whenever I felt homesick painting took me out
of myself.
Having used mainly watercolour and gouache I really wanted to try oils so
Harriet's class sounded perfect. I am really enjoying it and hope you will see
more of my attempts on this site soon.

I was very dissatisfied that I didn't have an outlet for my painting, and being a lazy individual hadn't done any painting since my A-levels 6 years ago.
Coming to class has given me a goal to work towards, and the guidance I get from Harriet and my classmates is phenomenal. I am looking forward to the next term.
