I started learning to paint with Harriet about seven years ago when I became semi-retired, not having done any art since leaving school, but it was always something I knew I wanted to do when I had more time. I was very tentative and unsure at first and it was only Harriet's unfailing encouragement and enthusiasm that helped me to persevere.

Now I look at everything in a different and more observant way and I cannot imagine life without a sketchbook and pencil or a paintbrush.
