On Friday the 25th and Saturday 26th the East Grinstead artists , called 58 Artists, had two private views . The exhibition was held at the Chequer Mead centre and was open from the 24th until the 30th of January 2008.
From the pictures shown over the next two pages you can see that the images were wonderful and the standard of the work was very high. The group of people who organized and hung the exhibition , the ones who made the food and all the others helping out did a wonderful job.
The Mayor of East Grinstead and his wife came on the Friday night and opened the first, first night, it was a very happy and positive experience and enjoyed by all.
The Chairman of Tandridge council and his wife opened the Saturday Private view and it was a very good evening, all the people who came to the private views and the other days were very impressed by paintings, watercolours, pastels and collages, some images were sold which was good for the artists concerned.
